- Game System: D&D 5.5
- Level Range: L20 - L20
- Cost: $11.00
- Short Description: Who's kidding who, we almost never get our characters to Level 20. This event allows you to create a new Level 20 character and go on an epic one-shot adventure!
IMPORTANT!
For Experienced Players: This session is not designed as a tutorial for newer players. Players who wish to participate should be very familiar with the D&D 2024 ruleset. Expect a high level of mechanical complexity at your event.
You need to be registered and logged in to buy tickets.
Want to slay a god? Maybe hunt a Tarrasque? Or just try out that awesome capstone feature on your favourite class? Then this event is for you! Team up with four other Level 20 heroes and get ready to test yourselves against the toughest foes that DnD has to offer.
This is not a Persistent World event; you may not bring any PW characters that you have rolled and levelled up on our website. Instead, you must build a Level 20 character from the ground up, according to the set of custom guidelines provided below. Characters that are used in these sessions do not progress or gain gold. When signing up to a Level 20 game, you can create a completely different character each time, or re-play a character that you have previously created for this event.
Below are the standard character creation guidelines for Level 20 games at TorontoDND. DMs may add to or alter these guidelines at their discretion.
- 27 Point Buy; no Rolled Stats.
- Item Allocation: 1 Legendary, 2 Very Rare, 3 Rare, 4 Uncommon or Common. You may trade down items in tier rarity at a 1:1 ratio.
- 2x bonus Superior Healing Potions.
- 5,000 gp for all mundane purchases and spell component costs (no magic items bought with gold).
- Banned Items: All Consumables other than Healing Potions (e.g. other potions, spell scrolls, etc).
- Must follow all other TorontoDND Allowable Character Options for Species, Subclass, Feats, Backgrounds, Spells, Magic Items, etc.
Due to the extra challenge required to balance encounters at this level, it is mandatory to send your character sheet to your DM at least 48 hours in advance of the session. Please either assign your character (with an attached public character sheet) to the table, or send it to the L20 Discord channel.
Non-PW Game: This table does not use Persistent World characters. Please carefully read the table description to determine if there are special requirements for your character, or if characters are going to be provided by the GM.
18+: Please note that this is an 18+ event and minors are not permitted to attend.
Licensed Venue: The venue we are playing at is a fully licensed establishment with a proper food and drinks menu. No outside food or drink, it is appreciated if you purchase something. Also, don’t forget to tip your server!

Dungeons & Dragons 5.5 Edition
https://dnd.wizards.com/start-playing-dnd
Description:
The first Dungeons & Dragons game was played back when Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson chose to personalize the massive battles of their fantasy wargames with the exploits of individual heroes. This inspiration became the first fantasy roleplaying game, in which players are characters in an ongoing fantasy story. This new kind of game has become immensely popular over the years, and D&D has grown to include many new ways to vividly experience worlds of heroic fantasy. The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends may tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. You can also explore the many worlds of D&D through any of the hundreds of novels written by today's hottest fantasy authors, as well as engaging board games and immersive video games. All of these stories are part of D&D.
