CMS Agreement

Before you will be able to add or edit any content in our shared world you will need to agree to the most recent version of our user content policy. You will be asked to agree to these terms before adding any content to the map.

Version 1.0 - Published 2025-05-12

This agreement governs what content can be added to our content management system (CMS or "The Map" or "Tor'anoth"), and who owns the rights to the content after being added.

  1. By adding content to the CMS you certify that one of these conditions is true:
    • The content being added is wholly owned by you and you have full rights to assign copyright for said content to others.
    • The content exists in the public domain or is covered by Creative Commons License "CC BY 4.0".
  2. If the content added is covered by Creative Commons License "CC BY 4.0" then you must include attribution text in the content itself. Content taken from these documents is exempt from this exception:
    • Dungeons & Dragons System Reference Document v5.2.1
    • Dungeons & Dragons System Reference Document v5.1
  3. Any content added must abide by our content standards. Content that would be labelled as "Requires Warning" by these standards can be added, but tables using that content must still flag it appropriately in the event detail page. Content falling under the "Not Allowed" category may not be added to the CMS.
  4. By adding content to the CMS you grant TorontoDND the right to host said content on the TorontoDND group website (regardless of entity or domain name changes) as part of the CMS or other platform, for the sole purpose of providing its members with a shared world resource for planning and running TTRPG sessions, and for general entertainment purposes. TorontoDND cannot use your material for any other purpose, commercial or otherwise. You retain full ownership of your content. In the event that there are copyright violations of your work by any individual or outside entity (other than TorontoDND itself), you agree that TorontoDND is not liable in any way. You also grant TorontoDND the right to edit or adjust your content for the purposes of adhering to any content or quality standards as it sees fit.
  5. TorontoDND reserves the right to remove or alter any content in the CMS without notification or explanation.
