DND is a fantasy adventure roleplaying game: this particular newbie table leans towards roleplaying and adventure slightly more than fantasy and gaming. We'll keep things light, since we're all just meeting each other, and see how things go! If folks would like lots of rules tutorials, great! We'll do that. If not, that's okay too! We'll cowrite the story together: at the end, whatever makes sense as the reason our characters were on this adventure, that's the reason why we went on it in the first place.
Want to learn how to play D&D in an inclusive, friendly, and judgement free environment? This is your night! Our DMs will guide you through your first adventure and teach you the basics of the game along the way. We will have all the materials you need to play the game including starter characters, so all you need to bring with you is a positive attitude. No experience is necessary, this is the perfect night for folks who have never played before or haven’t played in years and need a refresher. This event will also start your journey in our Persistent World system, which allows you to keep your loot, level up your character and build a rich history with other PCs. If you can't find or can't commit to a full campaign these events will allow you to mix the best aspects of one-shots with the best aspects of a ongoing adventure.

Dungeons & Dragons 5.5 Edition

Description:
The first Dungeons & Dragons game was played back when Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson chose to personalize the massive battles of their fantasy wargames with the exploits of individual heroes. This inspiration became the first fantasy roleplaying game, in which players are characters in an ongoing fantasy story. This new kind of game has become immensely popular over the years, and D&D has grown to include many new ways to vividly experience worlds of heroic fantasy. The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends may tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. You can also explore the many worlds of D&D through any of the hundreds of novels written by today's hottest fantasy authors, as well as engaging board games and immersive video games. All of these stories are part of D&D.
