Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades is a roleplaying game of dark adventure and heroic thrills inspired primarily by the wuxia novels of Gu Long. Players take the roles of eccentric heroes of the Jianghu, the martial world of a romanticised ancient China, visiting towns, temples and inns while dealing with rival sects and factions. Stories centre on mystery, revenge and justice. Heroes investigate crimes, unmask villains and settle old debts, and they show their mastery of the martial arts through Kung Fu techniques. Character creation produces capable, fleshed-out people who can follow many paths: physician, beggar, assassin, thief, soldier, bandit and more. The game uses a simple ten-sided dice pool designed to be gritty, suspenseful and fast. Fights are rare but consequential, and are often decided in a single roll. Written by Brendan Davis and Jeremy Bai with art by Kagan McLeod, and published by Osprey Games.
