Description: A village of 2,000 hardy folk living just below the foothills of the mountains. The economy is built around the plentiful mines nearby. Adventurers are frequently sought for a number of tasks. Captain Thresher and Sergeant Wolf lead a command of forty soldiers and, if necessary, a hundred militia. The One-Eyed Gnome is one of several popular taverns in Stonehold, named for the proprietor Janni who is never without a jeweler's loupe in one eye. Magical services are rare, but there is a cleric who visits from time to time.

Randall is an aging human male who is a master pickpocket and burglar. He is not cheap, but he is the best in town. He will not steal from anybody who he thinks doesn't deserve it or can't afford it.
