Description: Lake Zandem is a large freshwater lake about 35 miles long and 10 miles wide. Its full depth is unknown. In his great tome *A Grand Gazetteer of Pérsysten*, the Sage Gorundúrel long ago wrote that its central depths concealed a portal to the Plane of Water, guarded by Water Weirds. Along its southern shores lie the Snapfang Mountains. Where the mountains meet the shore there are many dangerous coves and caves where Scrags, Plesiosaurs, Freshwater Merrows and suchlike fell creatures may be found.
